Merry Christmas: A holiday note from Faes AR!

ree

Merry Christmas.

If you’re reading this today, we hope you’re having a good one - whether that means a full house, a small group, or some rare quiet time.

Faes AR didn’t start as a Christmas idea. It came from a much simpler place.

We wanted to see whether fantasy characters could show up on camera in a way that felt natural, especially during live roleplay and streaming.

Why we built this

Roleplay works because people stay present with each other. Online, that usually means choosing between being on camera and staying in character.

We weren’t satisfied with that trade-off.

So we built Faes AR as a way to keep both. A tool that lets a fantasy character appear on webcam and move with the performer in real time, without relying on AI-generated imagery or avatars.

What this release represents

This week marks the first public release of Faes AR.

It’s a small, focused set of assets designed for live use. We’re learning from how people use it in real sessions and streams, and that feedback is shaping what comes next.

Nothing complicated. Just steady iteration.

A holiday thank you

If you’re spending part of the holiday season building worlds, running campaigns, or experimenting with creative tools, we’re glad Faes AR can be part of that process for some of you.

We’re running a Christmas discount through December 26 for anyone who wants to explore the first release.

Merry Christmas, and enjoy the break - however you’re spending it.
