Version 1.0, October 21, 2026
1. Parties and acceptance
This End User Licence Agreement (“Agreement”) is a contract between you and ARaura Augmented Reality Fashion Corp (“ARaura,” “we,” “us”), a corporation registered in Quebec, Canada. It governs your use of the Faes AR desktop application and the Faes AR Virtual Camera Driver (together, “the Software”).
Faes AR is desktop software that places digital costumes, masks, effects, and backgrounds onto your live webcam feed and makes the result available to other programs through a virtual camera.
Faes AR is not a video service. We do not receive, host, or record your video.
By installing the Application or the Virtual Camera Driver, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install either one.
By installing either component, you confirm that:
You have read and agree to this Agreement.
You have reached the age of majority where you live.
Age and minors. You must have reached the age of majority where you live to create an Account or accept this Agreement. You may allow your child, or a minor for whom you are the legal guardian, to use your copy of the Software if they are 14 or older. If you do, you accept this Agreement and the Biometric Notice on their behalf. You are responsible for their use of the Software. No one under 14 may use the Software.
Before you buy. If you purchase the Software and then do not accept this Agreement, do not install it. Request a refund through the store where you purchased it. If the store does not refund you, contact us at support@faes.ar.
Where you buy. ARaura sells the Software through online stores and platforms. ARaura is the seller. The store’s terms govern the payment process. They do not change the licence or any other part of this Agreement.
Related documents. The Asset Licence Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Biometric Notice, and the Acceptable Use Policy form part of this Agreement. Changes to any of them follow Section 13.
2. Definitions
“Account” means the account you create with ARaura to sign in to the Application.
“Application” means the Faes AR desktop application. Other ARaura products are not covered by this Agreement and have their own terms.
“Virtual Camera Driver” means the system-level virtual camera driver published by ARaura that makes the Application’s video output available to other programs as if it were a physical webcam.
“Software” means the Application and the Virtual Camera Driver together, including any updates ARaura provides to either one, whether delivered through a Launcher or by download. ARaura’s own installer, and any Launcher ARaura provides, are also part of the Software.
“Launcher” means a separate program used to install, update, and start the Application.
“Asset Library” means the collection of digital costumes, masks, effects, backgrounds, and other content files included with the version of the Application you purchased.
“Publisher Content” means assets created by, under licence from, or based on intellectual property owned by third-party publishers.
“Your Uploads” means any images, models, or other files you import into the Application from your own computer.
“Cloud Services” means the online features of the Application. They include Account sign-in, access to your library of purchased and bundled assets, and Ownership Checking.
“Ownership Checking” means the system the Software uses to confirm that you are entitled to use the assets in your account.
3. Licence grant
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to install and use the Software on computers you own or control. You may use it for any lawful purpose, including commercial use such as paid Game Master sessions and monetised streams.
There is no fixed limit on the number of computers you may use. Sign-ins or downloads from an unusual number of computers may be treated as distribution of the Software and handled under Section 11.
“Perpetual” means the licence does not expire. It ends only if it is terminated under Section 11. Using the Application requires you to sign in from time to time, as described in Section 7.
“Non-transferable” means you may not sell, lend, sublicence, or give away your copy to someone else, except as Section 1 allows for your child or a minor in your care.
This licence covers the Software. The Asset Library and other content are licensed under the Asset Licence Terms.
What this licence does not include. The following are separate from your purchase:
Publisher Content from third-party publishers, which is available under separate terms.
Assets purchased individually through any marketplace or store.
Asset packs sold separately, whether by ARaura, by artists, or by publishers.
New capabilities released as separate add-ons or products.
4. Restrictions
You may not:
copy, modify, or distribute the Software, except as this Agreement allows;
reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except to the extent the law allows you to despite this restriction;
circumvent, disable, or interfere with Ownership Checking or any other protection in the Software;
extract assets from the Software’s files, or redistribute, resell, or sublicence them;
use assets from the Software, including Publisher Content, to train, fine-tune, or otherwise develop any artificial intelligence or machine learning system, including any system capable of generating works in the same style or genre;
rent, lease, or sell access to the Software; or
use the Software in breach of the Acceptable Use Policy or the law.
Assets that appear in your video output remain subject to the Asset Licence Terms. Recording or streaming your output does not give you the right to extract, isolate, or redistribute those assets.
5. Ownership and reservation of rights
The Software is licensed, not sold. ARaura and its licensors own the Software and all intellectual property in it. The artwork belongs to the artists, publishers, and other rights holders who created or own it. All rights not expressly granted in this Agreement are reserved.
Your Uploads. You keep ownership of Your Uploads. We claim no rights over them beyond what the Application needs to process and display them on your computer. The Software does not send Your Uploads to us, so we cannot recover them. You are responsible for your own backups.
Feedback. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.
6. Third-party content and components
Publisher Content. Publisher Content may carry additional terms, which are displayed on the asset within the Application. Where those terms conflict with this Agreement, they govern that publisher’s content. Where a publisher agreement requires it, the Application’s opening screen and About page include that publisher’s notices.
Content we may need to remove. We may remove or disable access to any asset, including Publisher Content or an asset in your Asset Library, if:
a publisher or rights holder ends or restricts our right to distribute it;
the law or a court order requires it; or
we receive a claim that it infringes someone’s rights and we reasonably believe the claim may be valid.
If we remove or disable an asset you purchased separately, we will notify you before the removal, or as soon as practicable after it if the law or a court order requires immediate removal. We will replace the asset with a comparable one. If no comparable asset is available, we will refund the amount you paid for it.
Installers and launchers. You may install the Application with ARaura’s installer, or through a launcher or store provided by a third party. Where you use a third party’s launcher or store, its terms govern your use of it. We do not control it.
Virtual Camera Driver. The Virtual Camera Driver installs a system-level device on your computer. It is installed separately from the Application and has its own uninstall process. Instructions for removing it are available at www.faes.ar/download.
Third-party platforms. The Software outputs video to programs we do not control, such as Discord, Zoom, and OBS. Their terms govern your use of their services. Some programs restrict or block virtual camera input. We do not guarantee compatibility with any program.
Open-source components. The Software includes open-source components made by others, licensed under their own terms, including the MIT License and the Apache License, Version 2.0. Their notices are available on the About page in the Application and with the installed components. Any warranty disclaimers in those licences are made by their authors, not by ARaura.
7. Updates and online services
Updates. We may release updates to the Software, but we are not required to. We do not promise to add features, expand the Asset Library, develop new content, or keep the Software compatible with any operating system or device. Any update we release becomes part of the Software and is governed by this Agreement. Updates may be delivered through a Launcher or made available for download. If you install updates yourself, you choose when to install them. We may announce updates by email or through our community channels. Some updates may be required to keep using Cloud Services.
Cloud Services. Cloud Services require an internet connection. They are provided as a service, not as owned software. They include checking for updates, recording your acceptance of this Agreement and the related documents, and making the assets in your Account available for download. Once an asset is downloaded to a computer, you do not need to download it again to use it on that computer. If we change an asset, we may release the change as a new asset instead of changing the copy you already have. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Cloud Services at any time.
Ownership Checking. Each asset is verified when you download it. The Application also asks you to sign in from time to time to confirm your entitlements. If you cannot sign in, the Application may not start.
Reserved features. We may develop and release additional features. Nothing in this Agreement is a promise to deliver any particular feature.
8. Privacy
The Privacy Policy describes what data we collect and how we handle it.
The Biometric Notice describes face processing and provides the disclosures required by law, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA). You will be asked to accept it separately, by its own checkbox, when you accept this Agreement. If your child or a minor in your care uses your copy, you give that consent on their behalf.
The Software is built with the Unity engine, which is controlled by a third party. We configure our builds to restrict third-party data collection. If you observe unexpected network activity from the Software, notify us at support@faes.ar.
9. Warranty disclaimer
QUEBEC CONSUMERS: THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU TO THE EXTENT THE QUEBEC CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT DOES NOT ALLOW IT.
You may have warranty rights under the laws of your jurisdiction that cannot be excluded or limited by contract. In Quebec, the Consumer Protection Act provides warranties that cannot be excluded. Nothing in this section excludes, limits, or modifies those rights.
Subject to those rights, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Software is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all other warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every hardware or software configuration.
10. Limitation of liability
QUEBEC CONSUMERS: THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU TO THE EXTENT THE QUEBEC CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT DOES NOT ALLOW IT.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ARaura’s total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to this Agreement or the Software is limited to the amount you paid for the Software.
ARaura is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, regardless of the theory of liability.
Nothing in this section limits ARaura’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for intentional or gross fault (faute lourde) under the Civil Code of Quebec, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
11. Termination
We may terminate your licence only if:
you commit a serious breach of Section 4 or of the Asset Licence Terms;
you commit a serious or repeated breach of the Acceptable Use Policy; or
you use the Software for conduct that is illegal under applicable law.
Before terminating under (a) or (b), we will give you written notice and a reasonable opportunity to fix the breach, where it can be fixed. Under (c), or for a breach that cannot be fixed, we may terminate on written notice.
If your licence is terminated, you must uninstall the Software and delete all copies. The Application may also disable or delete assets you have downloaded. Termination does not affect any refund owed under the terms of your purchase.
Cloud Services. We may suspend or end your access to Cloud Services if you breach this Agreement or the Acceptable Use Policy, if the law requires it, or for security reasons. We will give you notice where practicable. Suspension does not end your licence, but the Application may not start when it next asks you to sign in. Assets you have downloaded may also become unusable during a suspension.
Sections 4, 5, 9, 10, 12, and 14 survive termination.
12. Governing law, disputes, and language
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Quebec.
Courts. The courts of the district of Montreal, Quebec, have jurisdiction over disputes arising from this Agreement. This does not limit any right you have under consumer protection law to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
Your consumer rights. Nothing in this Agreement limits rights that consumer protection law does not allow you to give up by contract. This includes your rights under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act (Loi sur la protection du consommateur) and any right to take part in a class action.
Language. If you are in Quebec, you will be given the French version of this Agreement first. You may then choose to be bound by the English version. The version you accept governs your agreement with us. By accepting this Agreement in English, you confirm that you were provided with the French version first and that you expressly wish to be bound by the English version.
J’ai eu l’occasion de consulter la version française de cette entente et je souhaite expressément être lié(e) par la version anglaise.
13. Changes to this Agreement
13.1 What we may change. We may change only the following: the terms of Cloud Services; support, contact, and notice procedures; how we handle data, as described in the Privacy Policy; Publisher Content terms; the Asset Licence Terms; and terms we must change to comply with the law or to address security issues.
13.2 What we will not change. We will not change the licence grant in Section 3, the price you paid, the description of the Software in Section 1, or your ownership of Your Uploads.
13.3 Notice. At least 30 days before any change takes effect, we will send you a written notice by email to the address on your account and through a notification in the Application. The notice will contain only the new or changed clause, the clause as it read before, the date the change takes effect, and your rights under Section 13.4.
13.4 Your right to refuse. If a change adds to your obligations or reduces ours, you may refuse it and rescind this Agreement by notifying us within 30 days after the change takes effect. You will not pay any cost, penalty, or cancellation fee.
13.5 Accepting a change. If you do not rescind this Agreement under Section 13.4, the changed Agreement applies to you from the date it takes effect.
14. General
Entire agreement. This Agreement, together with the documents listed in Section 1, is the entire agreement between you and ARaura concerning the Software.
Severability. If any part of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in full effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any part of this Agreement is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
Assignment. We may assign or transfer this Agreement, in whole or in part, including to a purchaser or successor of our business. You consent to this in advance. You may not assign this Agreement.
Contracting party. This Agreement is between you and ARaura only. No director, officer, employee, or shareholder of ARaura is a party to it.
Notices. We may send you notices by email to the address on your account or through a notification in the Application. Written notice under this Agreement includes email sent to the address on your account. You may contact us at support@faes.ar.
